A bit about us - Dennis and Sandra White.

Before becoming international and sailing away from our home shores we lived in the south west of England with our two sons who grew up and flew the nest. Dennis worked nearly 30 years in construction whilst Sandra spent 22 years banking. Knowing there was more to life than the constant unending pressure of a money orientated society and having learnt, not through any spiritual revelation, that the best times were had living simply we sold everything (and we did have everything) and chose a life wandering afloat. Nine years later we have hardly a single regret and think sometimes that we have had far too much fun but are pleased to have met so many new friends of all nationalities, ages and walks of life.

Obviously nothing can be total nirvana but the hard times add to the spice of life and make the good times that bit more enjoyable.

A boat it seems is the last bastion of freedom which has enabled us to journey south from the UK (where we spent four years in Guernsey) down the coasts of France (inside Biscay), Spain and Portugal (we actually took a left to the east instead of right at Gibraltar) across the western Mediterranean visiting Ibiza, Majorca, Menorca and Sardinia before spending three winters in Italy from where we travelled south to Sicily arriving in Malta last August a total of over 6000 miles and 190 ports, harbours and anchorages.
